Like many people living in California, I am very concerned about climate change. After years of telling myself I would "quit my job and save the planet" someday soon, I have come to understand that I am not an activist. However, I want to do something! Recycling and hanging clothes on the line just isn't going to cut it.
I decided the only thing that would make me do something about climate change is if it involved art. To that end, I have created these posters as the start of a project to create art messages supporting behavior that will help stop climate change. When you purchase one of these posters, you are supporting art in public schools, as I will use the funds to increase my classes at Fairmont Elementary School in El Cerrito.
I want to give a shoutout to my California assemblywoman Buffy Wicks, who helped sponsor a Bill 54 to eliminate single use plastics by 2032. If this bill can't pass in California, where can it pass? Please support this legislation that will save our planet. Even if you don't believe that human behavior is making the earth hotter, you will probably agree that thousands of bottles of plastic in the ocean is bad.
Thank you for supporting arts and taking steps to affect climate change.
